I thought to Mareamore 3 original design idea after many years of sailing in a quest for the right yacht.
It involved visiting many websites, a few shipyards, looking at different approaches, talking to a number of people
in the industry.
Finally i discovered the beauty (at least for me) of Gerry Dijkstra yacht designs. Mareamore deisgn idea (wich i drafted using a simple design tool) is based on Bestevaer series, as you can see from the central picture representing one of GD design.
I changed the interior design to suit my taste: the major departure from the original is a deck saloon layout with a large deckhouse in order to be protected from the weather and at the same time in touch with the elements.
Mareamore 3 will be (if I ever build it) classical but also fast and comfortable, with around 1.500 litres of water ballast each side, bowsprit, long waterline length and a large sail area.
